When you choose a dentist, likely one of the first things you’ll want to know is if they can do the work you need done and do it well. You will also want to know what the dentist excels at. Not all dentists are great at everything they do and not all dentists do every treatment or procedure that is out there, so learning what specialties are available, is important.
Dr. Britton has worked diligently to perfect his craft. He excels at an array of dental procedures so that patients don’t have to look to a specialist for something like an extraction or implant. Every service that Dr. Britton offers patients, he does very well. We know this because of the raves and reviews that he receives from nearly all of his patients. He is great at what he does and wants his patients to have healthy smiles and successful procedures, each and every time.
White Fillings and Teeth Bonding
Dr. Britton’s patients love their long-lasting fillings and the overall look and quality of his work. He uses white fillings as opposed to silver amalgam fillings and they come with great results.
We can use the same resin or composite used in fillings and match it to the rest of your smile to repair chipped or uneven teeth or give your teeth a particular look you desire. The resin is placed over your teeth much like a veneer, then filed and polished to create a beautiful tooth.
Inlays and Onlays
If a tooth is broken or there is a large cavity that is difficult to repair, Dr. Britton may recommend an inlay, also known as an onlay, to create a full tooth again. It works similarly to a crown, but saves more of the original tooth. You repaired tooth will look just as it originally did. Dr. Britton does a superb job with inlays and patients have loved their results.
A root canal was once a daunting procedure, but it has been greatly improved and is a relatively pain-free and very simple treatment. When there is a severe cavity or infection that has reached the pulp of the tooth, a root canal will save your natural tooth and eliminate all pain from the infection. It’s a great treatment that Dr. Britton has perfected. Any issues cause by a tooth needing a root canal can disappear quickly with a root canal by Dr. Britton.
When you have a cracked or damaged tooth or need to undergo a root canal, a crown, also known as a cap, can be cemented over your tooth to restore the look and function of the tooth. Crowns look beautiful and natural. They will protect your tooth from further damage and function just like the original tooth did.
An extraction is used as a last resort when there is nothing more that can be done to save the natural tooth, or when there are excess teeth, such as wisdom teeth, in the mouth. It’s a decision that you and Dr. Britton will make thoughtfully together and we know you will be very happy with the results. There are also many beautiful options for replacing an extracted tooth when you are ready.
Extraction Site Preservation
When a tooth is extracted, it’s important to preserve the extraction site so that it does not recede and affect the other teeth in the mouth. Dr. Britton is wonderful at borne grafting and keeping extraction sites strong and healthy to prepare them for further treatment like the replacement of a tooth.
Tooth Replacement Options
We offer many options to replace many missing teeth that you may have lost or have had extracted.
- When you need just one or two teeth replaced, we offer bridges, which consist of crowns placed over the two surrounding teeth holding the replacement teeth in the middle.
- Partial dentures are removable and a great option for those who are missing several teeth in a row.
- Full permanent dentures are a wonderful choice for those who need an option to replace all of their teeth. They provide individuals with a gorgeous smile.
- Dental Implants can be done to replace anywhere from one or all of the teeth that may have been lost or extracted and provide a very natural and beautiful smile.
You can’t go wrong with any of the choices available to replace your missing teeth. Different options are right for everyone and we’ll talk with you to help you decide which choice is best for you. Each treatment restores confidence in a smile that may have been lost and some replacements can be completely life-changing.
TMJ and Jaw Joint Treatment
If you’re an individual who suffers from TMJ, you know how excruciating it can be. It can not only cause pain in the mouth and jaw, but in the shoulders, neck and head as well. It’s important to treat TMJ as soon as possible and Dr. Britton has a series of methods he uses to treat the condition. He has had excellent results with TMJ treatments and patients have had much relief, allowing them to go about their daily lives, pain-free.
Many people are unhappy with their smiles and want a new look to their teeth. It’s possible that they didn’t have braces in their younger years, or many have some chipping or discoloration. Dr. Britton highly recommends veneers to create the smile you’ve always dreamed of. By taking a thin layer of porcelain and placing it over the teeth, you can change the entire appearance of your smile and boot your confidence to a new level.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Often, there are more issues in the mouth than just a simple root canal or implant can treat. When there are a number of issues such as TMJ, missing teeth, cracked teeth from clenching or grinding, or issues with tooth alignment, full mouth rehabilitation is highly recommended. We will work with you to choose the treatments that best suit you to have a brand new healthy beautiful smile. Your teeth will all be treated and restored and you’ll walk away happy and confident. Dr. Britton takes great pride in full mouth restorations and knows how life-changing they can be.
If you’re one of the thousands of adults who wish they had straighter teeth, but are worried about how braces will affect your personal and professional life, then Invisalign is the perfect choice. Dr. Britton is not an orthodontist, but with Invisalign and the specialized skills the he has to straighten a smile with it, you’ll never need to see an orthodontist.
There is nothing more important for your mouth than protecting your teeth. Mouth guards are great for protecting athletes that commonly have contact to the face. A guard that is professionally designed is much more effective than those found in a sporting goods store.
Night guards are the best option for people who grind their teeth and are at risk for wearing down or cracking their teeth. We specialize in both types of mouth guards. You can have your guard fitted quickly and easily at our office.
